The Extremities 1,813 mile walk to raise awareness and money for 5 charities is now complete. However, to continue to raise funds for the charities outlined below a 2014 Extremities calendar and a series of Greetings Cards are now available.

The walk started on 13th April 2012 Henton in Somerset. Originally planned as one continuous walk it was done as a series of walks. For pictures on route go to Today's Journey To obtain a free map go to For Schools
There are 5 legs to the walk raising money for 5 charities along the way, however a temporary injury meant the walk was restructured and done in bite size pieces over 2 years; rather than in one continuous session as originally planned.

Leg 5: 5th September 2012 until 16th September 2012. From Lizard Point, Cornwall back home to Henton in Somerset. The last leg is to raise money for a something very close to my heart. My local church at Henton is a vibrant church. Having lost its Post Office and Pub the church is now uppermost in leading community activities and has no running water or toilet and I would like to raise money to help this rural church have the basic facilities it really needs. During my 1,813 miles of walking you will be able to follow my progress on this website as I blog about my travels and upload photographs beamed in real time directly to this site.

Before and during the walk, I am also doing various talks to school children to tell them about this challenge and to inspire many children to think about their beautiful country and learn about all aspects that shape the countryside today. So far more than 2,250 children have access to one of my bespoke maps and will be following my journey. I have also given talks to over 400 children at various schools around the country. Go to For Schools page to learn more.
I would welcome any support on my long walk and hope to raise media interest about my challenge so that in turn I can raise awareness for these 5 important charities I have chosen to support.
